Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi today flagged off facilities to ECD models across the count

Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi today flagged off facilities to ECD models across the county at hodhan primary school together with his deputy Abdihafid Abdullahi, CEC Education Habiba Hussein, Chief officer education Abdullahi Maalim, County Education director Hassan Duale, CEC Finance salah Abdi, CEC Health Rukia Maalim, CEC ICT Rukia Ahmed, CEC lands Abdiazizi Abdullahi, Chairman public Service board Ibrahim Hassan Dahiye, Wajir East Sub County Administrator Omar Daud and MRS Tarbaj ward Osman kuresh, Nominated MCA Rukia Mohamed and other county officials.
The county Government employed more 324 ECD teachers and constructed 62 ECD classrooms and doing holiday based training for the ECD teachers.
The department does occasional quality assessments for the ECD models to see their need, impact and progress.
The County Government increased County bursary fees from 30 Million of last financial year to 70 million this fiscal year.
Governor Ahmed said it's important children are introduced to education in a pleasant way.
Deputy Governor Abdihafid Yarrow urged the community to support pipe children to this facilities to the brim and also help protect the infrastructure.
The Department led by able CEC Habiba Hussein will also embark on Pastoral Education to steer anti radicalization campaign in all schools.
The sector which is partly devolved was affected hugely by insecurity which prompted the Governor to have a meeting with TSC High ranks on Nairobi to fast track emergency intervention as 90% of non local teacher have not to date reported back to work.
