Wajir North Education day in Bute.
Wajir County Governor H.E Ahmed Abdullahi and his Deputy Abdi Hafith Yarrow led parliamentarians, county officials and the larger public in Marking Wajir North Education day in Bute.
The Occasion was Graced by MP's from the Northern Kenya including area MP Hon. Ibrahim Abdi Saney and his colleagues Abdullahi Diriye (Wajir South) , Mohammed Elmi (Tarbaj) , Abdikadir Ore(Wajir West) , Abdikadir (Balambala), Abass (Ijara), Abdiaziz (Mandera East), Abass sheikh (Wajir East) and Wajir county women MP Fatuma Ibrahim as well as Wajir county Assembly Speaker Hon Bishar omar, Clerk Osman Mohammed and MCA's.
Also in attendance were Former area MP and member of Parliamentary service Commission Dr. Abdullahi (Kabretta), Business man Ahmed Abdullahi (Yare), TSC Commissioner Saadia, Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) Commissioner Fatuma Ali Samaan and County Education Officials.
Wajir county First lady and her colleague from Marsabit County also attended the event.
Governor Ahmed Abdullahi said the county will build residential houses and will provide security for the non-local teachers this year.
He also challenged the central Government to devolve education if they cannot address the massive insecurity that had rocked the province the last few years.
The MP's from the region condemned the recent extra judicial killings by the government and warned such acts will only increase radicalization. The law makers urged the national government to take suspects to court and charge them if found guilty.
