EDUCATION, SOCIAL WELFARE AND FAMILY AFFAIRS
The Department includes the following; Vocational Training, Early Childhood Education, Gender & Women Empowerment, Culture, Social Welfare and Family Affairs, Youth, Sports & Talent. .
Sector Goals:
- Ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development education, care and pre-primary education.
- Ensure all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education.
- Enhance access to vocational and technical training, including tertiary and university education.
- Enhance sports and talent development.
- Enhance social protection for the poor and most vulnerable members of the community.
- Promote gender equity.
- Promote, revitalize and development of all aspects of culture, heritage, library and family affairs.
To provide, promote and coordinate quality education and training in relation to socio-cultural and economic development of the county and empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized groups.
