About The Deputy Governor

H.E Ahmed Muhumed Abdi (Caato) is a political leader currently serving as the Deputy Governor of Wajir County. His debut in elective political leadership started in the 2017th Kenyan General Election when he gave a shot at the Governorship of Wajir County before joining hands with H.E Ahmed Abdullahi Jiir in 2022 General election as his running mate. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Deputy Governors’ Forum too.

H.E Ahmed Muhumed Abdi has extensive experience in the business sphere accrued during his working stay in the Middle & Far East Asia.

His stint and attendant experience accumulated over his years in the development industry in the Horn of Africa comes in handy in the delivery of essential and otherwise services in the County Government of wajir.

A BSc in Science, an MBA in strategic Management and an M.A International Relations coupled with an ongoing advanced management program gives the Deputy Governor more than the needful academic and professional grounding to execute his mandate diligently and beyond reproach.
