The Department of ICT, Trade, Investment, Industry, Cooperative & SMEs Development recently held a public participation forum to discuss a proposed Enterprise Bill aimed at enhancing access to capital and financing facilities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the county. The forum, in line with the principles of democracy outlined in Chapter One of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, sought to engage relevant stakeholders in incorporating their views and contributions into the draft.

The discussion was led by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for ICT, Trade, Investment, Industry, Cooperative, and SMEs Development, Hon. Khalif Abdi Abdi, and saw the participation of key officials including the County Attorney, Chief Officers of Trade, Investment, Industry, Cooperative, SMEs Development, ICT, and E-Government, Vice Chair of the Trade and Tourism Committee, Hon. Fatuma Sheikh, as well as Hon. Habiba Yussuf, Hon. Adan Adow, and other departmental staff.
